There are several steps in the process when registering. Each team manager needs to fill out a TEAM REGISTRATION form and submit the required deposit. Once that form is completed, each team member or paddler is required to fill out a TEAM CREW MEMBER REGISTRATION form. Waivers will be automatically included as the Team Member Registration is completed by the paddler. The sooner your team registers, the more options you will have in hotel selection and scheduling your practice session!
Here is your chance to learn a new skill and slay the dragon! Each team is required to use a breast cancer survivor steer or sweep during the festival races. If your team is currently not using a survivor, now is a good time to consider giving it a try! There will be available steers on hand if your team needs a survivor steer or sweep. With plenty of training time ahead, why not amend your training plans to include members trying their hand at the back of the boat! It’s a fun challenge and increases your dragon boating skills! Plus, racing with a steer who is also a team member adds to even more syncronicity and synergy! BCS CAMPS & CLINICS
Pan Am Dragon Boat is providing opportunities with special BCS camps and clinics just prior to racing in Sarasota! This is a great way for your team to get a feel for the gulf coast waters, hone your skills in steering, as well as work on team building, race preparation, along with race course familiarity. Pat Bradley, head coach from Team Canada, will be leading the camps with a special interest in breast cancer survivor training!
You have several options for traveling to the United States and Florida based on the airports listed below. If you would like to extend your stay prior to or after the festival, consider which airport might work best for your plans as a tourist in the Sunshine State! You may choose to spend your additional holidays relaxing at the beach, visiting local attractions such as Busch Gardens in Tampa or Disney World in Orlando!
